Dockland Light Railway March 2024

During a recent 52-hour possession, ASH-CG Construction teams came together to deliver the installation of 4 pair of new SEJs (structural expansion joints), along with associated twist rails & closure rails. The replacement of these SEJs required detailed planning & calibration between various teams within our Rail Systems Division, (Rail Civils, Pway, ETE) with support from ASH Labour Dept.

Works were undertaken between Prince Regent and Royal Albert Stations, on both Eastbound and Westbound lines & were the final 4 pairs of our SEJ Contract Phase 1.

Working on the DLR presents its unique set of challenges not least due to its location within London’s Docklands & the elevated nature of the DLR Infrastructure.

Teams from ASH-CG & our supply chain worked around the clock to ensure that this vital renewal project was completed on time without incident or accident for our valued client, DLR/TFL.
